A case of Migraine

This is the case of a lady aged 36 years with severe Migraine since 10 years.
She used to have severe Headache accompanied by vomiting. Headache ameliorated by pressing the root of nose.. Severe headaches would prevent her from all daily activities. Once triggered it would continue for days with no relief even by painkillers.

Along with this she also complained of:

  • Scanty menstruation

Past medical History:

  • Backache
  • Anal Fissure
  • Low blood pressure

Personality:
The lady was very extroverted, social person. She was a very emotional person having an intuitive nature. Her memory was very sharp. She couldn’t tolerate tight clothing. She couldn’t tolerate hot weather. Her headaches were aggravated by smell of coffee.

Medicine prescribed:
After a detailed analysis of her case she was prescribed a dose of a homeopathic remedy called LACHESIS 200 and she was called after 10 days for her follow up.

Follow ups:
First follow up after 10 days - She had her menses which were better regarding flow and intensity of her headaches was also better.
With each further follow ups, her frequency and intensity of headaches got reduced. There was transient recurrence of her old complaint of backache which passed away shortly.

A case of Urticaria with Allergic rhinitis

This is the case of a lady aged 40 years with Urticaria since 6 years aggravated by anxiety and thinking. She had to take antiallergic drugs frequently for the same.

Along with this she also complained of:

  • Sneezing with running nose aggravated in morning
  • Pain in small joints of hands, ameliorated by warmth and pressure
  • Recurrent sore throats with feverish sensation , accompanied by weakness and bitter taste in mouth

Past medical History:

  • Rheumatic fever

Personality:
She was basically an introverted lady with a very scientific, racing mind. She was a logical thinker. She would go into depth of each subject she studies. She was a topper throughout her academic career. She was a perfectionist.
She had a complaint of claustrophobia; fear that she will be suffocated. She was very time bound, always anxious about time. She couldn’t stand any disorder. She couldn’t tolerate cold weather.

Medicine prescribed:
After a detailed anaysis of her case she was prescribed a dose of a homeopathic remedy called ARSENIC ALBUM 1M and she was called after 1 week for her follow up.

Follow ups:
First follow up after 1 week - she complained of increased sneezing and nasal discharge.
In her next follow up after 15 days her urticaria and her joint pains were much better and with each subsequent visits her condition got better with no complaints left.

A case of Dysmennorhoea

This is the case of a girl aged 16 years with severe pain in abdomen starting one day before and continuing for first two days of menses. Pain used to be severe preventing her from normal activity and accompanied by nausea and loss of appetite.

Along with this she also complained of:

  • Myopia with pain in eyes on straining

Personality:
She was a very timid and mild girl, having fear of darkness. She would wake up at night if light is switched off.
A reserved person by nature, especially shy in front of strangers. She was very good in studies, always studied on her own, with lots of anticipatory anxiety before exams.
She couldn’t tolerate cold weather.

Medicine prescribed:
After a detailed analysis of her case she was prescribed a dose of a homeopathic remedy called SILICEA 1M and she was called after 1 month for her follow up.

Follow ups:
First follow up after 1 month - She had pain in abdomen but during first day of menses only.
During her second visit, she had a rash over her arms which disappeared in a short duration. With subsequent follow ups her menstrual pain reduced slowly and she started having normal periods with some improvement in her myopia too.

A case of Profuse menstruation

A lady aged 46 yrs with complaint of profuse uterine bleeding, having clots for the past one month. Her Hemoglobin was reduced to 5 gm/dl.

Associated complaints:

  • Breathlessness on walking
  • climbing stairs
  • weakness
  • sleepiness
  • Leucorrhoea
  • white thick discharge
  • Cracks on heels.

Past history:
High fever with septicemia 8 months back. She was given lots of medicines for that.

Personality:
A very anxious person by nature. Always anxious about her health. Very fastidious, particular about cleanliness. A reserved person by nature but having fear of being alone. Hurry haste to finish her work.

Other Physical symptoms:

  • Traveling sickness
  • Very sensitive to cold weather
  • Desire: salty food , juices
  • Thirst less

Medicine prescribed:
Arsenic album 200

Follow ups:
With in 10 days of medicine she had some loose stools, her clots were reduced though bleeding was marginally reduced.
On her next visit after 15 days her bleeding was much reduced with almost negligible clots.
With each subsequent visit her bleeding totally stopped and gradually weakness and breathlessness was much better, with rise in blood hemoglobin levels.
